Samsung's Galaxy A55 shows off metal frame in official renders

We now have a second set of Samsung Galaxy A55 renders that look ever more official than the first.

More importantly, these seemingly confirm the design, including the metal frame (note the antenna lines), which is slightly raised around the controls on the right side of the phone - the same design as the recently unveiled Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A25.

The renders, courtesy of an Android Headlines report flaunt three colors - Awesome Iceblue, Awesome Lilac, and Awesome Navy.

The phone has Samsung's classic flat back with a simple three-lens camera island and LED flash cutout. It's the same design as last year's Galaxy A54 and most recent Samsung phones.

The Galaxy A55 will have an Exynos 1480 chipset - a unit with an eight-core processor (four at up to 2.75GHz, four up to 2.0GHz), and an AMD RDNA2-based Xclipse 530 GPU.

According to previous rumors, the Galaxy A55 will have a 6.5-inch FHD+ 120 Hz OLED screen, a 50 MP main camera, and support for 25W wired charging (with no charger in the box, of course).

Pelo o que li, não são grandes alterações. O DSP deve ser melhorado para aumentar a qualidade das fotos mas a diferença não parece ser muita para o A54

Samsung's Galaxy A55 and A35 are official with matching OLED screens, Exynos chips

Right on schedule, the Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G are official. The successors to the most popular mid-range duo of 2023 have more in common than ever before.

For starters the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 are built around the same display - a 6.6-inch 1080x2340px Super AMOLED panel with 120 Hz refresh rate. They also share a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging support and Samsung's new Key Island design language. The frame is different though, with the Galaxy A55 using metal to the Galaxy A35's plastic.

The Galaxy A55 5G has the Exynos 1480 SoC with an AMD RDNA2-based Xclipse 530 GPU. You can have it paired with either 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM, and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage. In contrast, the Galaxy A35 settles for the older Exynos 1380 that the Galaxy A54 used. It's still a 5nm chipset, which suggests good efficiency and you get to pick between 6 GB or 8 GB RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB storage.

The Galaxy A55 has a 32MP f/2.2 selfie camera, while on the back there's a 50MP f/1.8 main shooter with OIS, a 12MP f/2.2 fixed-focus ultrawide camera and a 5MP f/2.4 macro camera.

The Galaxy A35 5G comes with a 13MP f/2.2 front-facing unit, a 50MP f/1.8 main camera an 8MP f/2.2 fixed-focus ultrawide shooter and a 5MP f/2.4 macro unit.

The Samsung Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 premiere Samsung Knox Vault on the A series. It's a hardware-based secure execution environment that's physically isolated from the processor and memory. It safeguards the most critical data on your device, like lock screen credentials - PIN codes, passwords, and patterns. It also protects the phone's encryption keys.

Samsung's standalone Knox is also installed, and you get the opt-in Auto Blocker, which can stop suspicious app installations, scan for malware, and block malicious commands.

Samsung promises 4 years of major OS updates and 5 years of security patches for both new Galaxy A series phones. That's two years shorter than what the flagship series got, but still impressive for a mid-ranger.

You can get the Galaxy A55 in 8/128GB for €480, while other available options are 8/256GB (€530), and 12/256GB variants. The Galaxy A35 starts at €380 for the 6/128GB trim, has a 8/128GB middle option and tops out at €450 for the 8/256GB variant.

400 paus pelo A35 e 500 pelo A55 está inflacionado o preço mas já sabemos que funciona sempre assim. Daqui por 3 meses já se apanha o A35 por 300 e o A55 por 400 que é bem mais justo. E até o A34 5G pode ser uma excelente alternativa, está a 250 paus na Amazon aqui ao lado e o A54 a 300...

Yep e mesmo quem quiser um Samsung, consegue-se um S23 FE saído há poucos meses por 480 paus novo, que é superior ao A55 em praticamente tudo: ip68, ecrã superior, exynos 2200 superior, telephoto 3X, videos 4k60fps, wifi6e, samsung dex, wireless charge, tudo coisas que o A55 não tem ou é inferior. Apenas na bateria o A55 puderá ser um pouco melhor. Mas ninguém no seu juízo irá preferir um A55 a um S23 FE, digo eu...

O S23 é igual, tá a 550 paus da amazon Espanha. Aposto que daqui por 2 meses o A55 tá a 349. Aliás, nos EUA não vão vender o A55 precisamente porque a 500, não tem hipótese contra o S23/FE que por lá também é 500.

Dependendo da oferta dos catálogos para empresas, das empresas de comunicações, pode vir a vender por essa via, é ver o que aparece em Outubro.

Se for como da última vez, vai fazer 3 anos, aqui em 10, 8 foram buscar os A52, por cada S21 ou iPhone, porque eram uma dúzia de patacas VS umas centenas.
